What we keep, and why

This policy covers the ShaLabs website and labs, run by ShaLabs Technologies Private Limited. Last updated November 2026.

What we collect

Your name, email address and profile picture from Google when you sign in.

The labs you start, your progress through them, and how each session ended.

The activity in the AWS account during your session: which services were called, what was created and what was refused. We also record the network address your session's access was issued to.

We never collect your passwords, and we never store AWS access keys.

How we use it

To run your labs, save your progress, clean up each account, keep the platform safe, stop misuse and help when something goes wrong. We do not sell your data.

Cookies

We use the cookies needed to keep you signed in and to protect your session.

Who handles it for us

Google (sign-in), Amazon Web Services (lab accounts and the backend), Vercel (the website), Neon (the database) and Fly.io (the browser terminal, for labs that have one).

How long we keep it

Everything you create in a lab account is deleted when the session ends. How long each other record is kept is being decided; it will be stated here before labs leave beta.
